He had no sign of liveliness. He was looking at infinity. There was a deep silence in his eyes. A 50 year old cancer patient whose blood I collected today for my research work. I am doing this for last two years. Every time when I visit to hospital for sample collection my heart start beating more faster-- How will I face the patient, and when patient's family (or the person who accompanying him) saw me, there eyes were brighten. they looked at me with special hope. most of them ask me that when they will get this report and I have no answer. Mostly this disease affect at younger age. I still remember when I first went for sample collection. the patient was one year younger to me. He came with his sister. Both of them had an artificial smile as that something is forcing them to smile but a great silence could be easily seen on their face. its like that he is seeing his death is coming to him by and by. when sample collection was finished and i was coming out her sister told me " bhiya woh toh achha hua pehle hi pata chal gaya ab toh mera bhai jaldi hi thik ho jayega! appko kya lagta hai" I had no word to say because form his report I could see that his WBC count had gone very high, he could live for long but always on medicines which had there own side effect and in other words they killed him day by day more painfully than the disease itself. I wish that there could be some way or some magic wand with which i could cure all them.
